Where Have All the GoCards Gone?
Twenty, twenty-five years ago, millions of free postcards were distributed through postcard racks placed in restaurants, bars, theaters, health clubs, bookstores, and music stores. Where did all these “GoCards” eventually go? You can still find a few of them at postcard collector shows or on eBay, but most went into the trash.
Thieves Theatre owns a most excellent custom collection of these vintage postcards.
When Thieves was producing theatre in Philadelphia in the years 2000 -2003, we “stole” hundreds of these free postcards, customizing them with our logo to distribute as advertising for our monthly Fly By Night productions.
